SINGAPORE OCEANARIUM: CONTENT HIGHLIGHTS

SEA Aquarium's Closure Announcement

My first appearance on Mothership! This was a feature on their page to announce the closing of SEA Aquarium, where they used a TikTok video done by me and the other intern (3rd slide)

Seariously?!

I edited this reel by piecing footages together, color grading it, adding graphics and visuals as well as text --- 'Seariously?!', a series by Singapore Oceanarium that shared fun facts about the marine life to viewers.

ARTDIS: Interview with Eugene Soh

This was a reel to showcase the artwork by Eugene Soh from ARTDIS, a non-profit charity in Singapore which engages people with disabilities through the arts --- he gifted Singapore Oceanarium a painting. I edited this reel using Adobe Premiere Pro -- adding captions, color grading, piecing footages together to help bring his story to life. I also assisted with lighting during the interview itself.

ADEX 2025 (Asia Dive Expo)

My first on-screen appearance on Singapore Oceanarium's page, where I interviewed some team members on diving etiquette and tips while we were at ADEX 2025 (Asia Dive Expo). It was an interesting and fulfilling experience as I had to memorize lines on the spot and tried my best to be as natural on camera, all while under the pressure of facing stares from people walking past and standing around us. This has got to be one of my most memorable experiences throughout my internship journey!

Singapore Oceanarium's Opening Ceremony

I was so glad to be a part of this day, as it felt like months of our hard work and effort had finally paid off. It was even more fulfilling to see and learn about the brand changeover from SEA Aquarium to Singapore Oceanarium from when I first joined till then. On this day of the opening ceremony, I was tasked with editing pictures taken during the event. This was a nerve-wracking experience for me, as the photos had to be edited quickly. Approvals were required from the other department and higher-ups before sending it to media outlets for publication on various social media platforms and accounts.

Hangyudon X Singapore Oceanarium

This was a reel made to showcase the collaboration of Sanrio Singapore, more specifically, the well-known character Hangyudon and Singapore Oceanarium! I assisted with lighting for this shoot and also helped to give ideas regarding shot angles  --- such as the scene where Hangyudon chases after the fish continuously from left to right, and actions the character could show (body movements, waving, bounces etc.)

ORIGINAL WORKS: A PERSONAL COLLECTION

Fishes in the Aquarium

During my internship at Singapore Oceanarium, I was tasked to shoot and edit a montage of the marine animals to be displayed at Singapore Oceanarium's Research Learning Centre, played on loop. This was my first few projects that really allowed me to think hard about the angles and visuals of the animals. Some scenes of the sea jellies were slowed down as I wanted the focus to be on it's unique movements, as well as the scene of the Manta Ray as it seemed even more majestic swimming above the viewer in such a slow and poise manner.

A meditative journey beneath the surface, shot on the Sony A7R V. Slow-motion sequences drift through the quiet rhythms of marine life, rendered in warm, cinematic tones.

Body Transformation Adventure

A short inspirational story video profiling a woman’s 10kg transformation journey. I handled the full edit in Adobe Premiere Pro and Cap Cut, including cutting, sequencing, color adjustments, audio selection, and pacing to create an inspiring and visually engaging narrative. I also included some animations in the video using Adobe after effects, by keyframing the visuals.

The goal was to present her journey in a relatable and uplifting way, encouraging viewers who feel uncertain or intimidated to begin their own lifestyle changes.
